How much does it cost?

• At Of Mine Design, our prices are all inclusive. That means the price on the item is the price you’ll pay. There are no extra fees for: studio time, paint, glazing or firing! However if you don’t finish your piece in one sitting there is a small $5 fee for your return visit.

Do I need a reservation?

• You do not need to call ahead or make a reservation to have fun at Of Mine Design. We do recommend you call ahead if you will be bringing a group of 6 or more so we can ensure a comfortable experience.
  How long does it take?
• Our projects can take as long or as little time as you’d like! You would be most comfortable to set aside at least 1/2 hour to fully enjoy your experience. Depending on the size and detail of the project, you could spend a few hours!

Can I bring my lunch/dinner?

• Of Mine Design is a great place to spend your lunch hour. You are welcome to bring food and drinks with you. Please remember to wash your hands thoroughly before touching your bisque. Oil will cause the glaze to repel.
• Of Mine Design is also a great place to have a ladies night out! You are welcome to bring your own wine, appetizers, even pot-luck. For a large event like this, we recommend you reserve our studio after hours.

Can I use my dishes after they’re painted?

• Every project at Of Mine Design is fully functional! That means you can eat off your dishes, use your trivets, and use your soap, lotion, and lip gloss made from vegan ingredients. All our glazes are lead free and food safe. However we do recommend you treat your hand painted dishes like fine china! We recommend hand-washing.

Is it safe?

• It is not only safe to paint at Of Mine Design, but you won’t look like you just left an art workshop when you leave! Our glazes are all non-toxic and lead free. They wash off easily, and do not stain clothing. Most glazes can even be brushed off after they dry. If you’re still concerned, we do provide aprons!

Does my piece get sent out to be fired?

• We do all our firing on site in our Skutt kiln. We also have a smaller Paragon kiln to fire your glass fused jewelry.

When do I get my finished piece?

• Finished projects take between 5 and 7 days to be completed. Some projects, such as mosaics or glass, can be picked up in as little as 48 hours. Our bath projects can go home the same day!

Do you have green-ware?

• We do not carry green-ware. Our ceramic pieces are bisque, which means they’ve already been cleaned and fired one time. This means less preparation, more time having fun!

Do you have classes?

• At Of Mine Design, we’ve made all our projects so easy to do, you don’t need a class! Plus there is always a staff member on hand to answer questions and give you helpful tips.
• We do occasionally have workshops to profile advanced techniques or new ideas. Check our calendar regularly to find out when our next workshop is, or join or email list and be the first to know!

I’ve never done this before, I don’t think I’d be very good at it!

• You do not need to have ANY prior experience to have fun! You don’t even need to be artistic or creative. All of our projects are super easy for a beginner, yet can also be customized for our guests with advanced skills. We have numerous samples, books, and tools for you to try!

Can I bring my: girl scouts, boy scouts, youth group, sports team, etc?

• Of Mine Design is a great place to bring your youth or adult group. It’s also a great reward for the end of the season. Why not have your awar*ds ceremony and let the kids paint their own trophies. Scouts can earn badges, religious groups can be sure they are coming to a welcoming atmosphere.

For the best experience, we do request advanced reservations for groups of six or more.
